Privacy policy
Effective 2026-10-19. Controller: Grind Toolkit (the operator of grindtoolkit.com). Contact: hello@grindtoolkit.com.
What we collect
- No accounts, no sign-up. We never ask for your name, email, age or game usernames.
- Nothing you type is sent to us. Solver guesses, clues, boards and filters are worked out in your browser and stay there.
- Your browser's storage, for convenience only. We save your colour theme in local storage on your device. You can clear it at any time in your browser settings.
- Hosting logs. Our host, Cloudflare, processes requests (including IP addresses) to deliver the site and protect it from attacks, and may keep short-lived technical logs. We don't use them to identify anyone.
We don't run analytics profiles, fingerprinting or third-party trackers.
Advertising (not live yet)
The site is free and we plan to fund it with ads. Ads are not running today. When they are, this section applies, and we will update this page first:
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the internet.
- You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info (and youronlinechoices.eu in Europe).
- Visitors in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland will be asked for consent through a Google-certified consent management platform before any advertising cookies are set, and can change their choice at any time.
Children
Grind Toolkit is a general-audience site and is not directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone, children included. When ads launch, they will be served without personalisation to visitors treated as children under applicable law (including COPPA in the US), and we will not enable interest-based advertising for them.
Your rights
Because we hold no personal data about you, there is usually nothing to access, correct or delete. If you think we hold something about you, or you want to exercise a right under GDPR, UK GDPR or CCPA, email us and we'll reply within 30 days. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
Changes
We'll update the effective date above when this policy changes, and describe material changes on this page.
